So the plan here is to get myself motivated, accountable and excited about bike racing again. I haven't been doing any pre-season training, and I can't really call myself a bike racer at this point in time. I do own a lot of spandex though, so I've got that going for me. My brother, none other than Colorado bike racing phenom Drew Christopher started a blog recently to document his exploits as a bike racer this year, with semi-pro team, Rio Grande Racing, and I thought I should follow suit.As many readers know or, will come to know, I am following the lead of my little big brother in more than just starting a blog. Drew is an amazing bike racer, currently racing category 1, and following the National Racing Calendar this season.(check out his blog at drewracesbikes.blogspot.com) sorry for the title plagarism Drew, I wasn't feeling very creative.
Anyway this is my first post, so its not that exciting. I'm sitting in a college computer lab at Metro State College, thinking about all the ways I make my life seem way more epic by writing about it on a semi-regular basis.
Some good news however, in the realm of bike racing, I've actually kind of got a plan that should work for my training. In fact I actually went on a pretty good ride last week with Drew out to Golden and back while I was on a long lunch break from school. Woo! It was the break in ride for my new Primal Racing kit, which looks uber cool.
Anyway, not much else to report on at this point. I will keep you (my nonexistent readers) updated!
Cheers,
MC
